these are the first words to my debut novel BLACK & RED which follows an online gambling addict attempting to turn a grocery store coupon into $1,000,000 in just one week.
the novel itself has morphed since these early pages, yet i feel they provide an interesting foundation of what’s to come. in these first two sections, the nameless protagonist finds himself at a blackjack table in middle of nowhere America, planning to run away.
